Overview
In early July 2024, M9 Logistics Dubai embarked on a significant logistics project aimed at managing the transportation and distribution of 100 tons of mobile phones and tablets from Hong Kong to Berlin. The average lead time for warehouse handling and air delivery is 7-10 days per batch. The goal was to ensure efficient handling and timely delivery for the whole volume 100 tons within a 30-day period.

Challenges and solutions
The project began with an initial shipment of 4 tons of electronic devices. The primary challenge was to scale up operations rapidly to meet the growing demand, while maintaining high standards of storage and labeling at our DAFZA warehouse.
- Shipment Management: We focused on streamlining the transportation process from the start. By the end of the project, we had successfully received a total of 93 tons of mobile phones and tablets from Hong Kong.
- Customs Clearance: All 93 tons were successfully cleared through DXB and DWC airports with zero delays, demonstrating our expertise in navigating complex customs procedures.
- Storage and Labeling: The cleared goods were securely stored in our DAFZA warehouse, where they underwent meticulous labeling to ensure proper tracking and organization.
- Distribution: We efficiently exported 75 tons to Germany, primarily using charter flights, with additional shipments sent via regular flights to Berlin.
Outcome: As of the latest update, 93 tons have been processed, and we are on track to complete the full 100 tons within the 25-day timeline. This achievement underscores our ability to manage large-scale logistics projects with precision and efficiency.
