Efficient Delivery of Chemical from Germany to Kuwait

Overview

We are thrilled to highlight a recent project at M9 Logistics that underscores our commitment to overcoming complex logistical challenges. For a new customer, we managed the delivery of Chemical from Germany to Kuwait. The shipment consisted of 12 IBC containers, each with a capacity of 1000 liters, and one pallet of bulk cargo.

Challenges and Solutions

1. Scanning Liquid Cargo: Although the cargo was non-hazardous, it required a special “Secured” status for air transportation due to the scanning of liquid cargo. Scanning liquids was only possible in France using the Ras Cargo method until October 1, and this process typically requires up to 4 weeks to secure a permit.
2. Permit Exemption: Fortunately, our partner warehouse at Frankfurt Airport has the authority to scan cargo without needing individual permits. This capability allowed us to expedite the process efficiently.

Execution

• Cargo Pickup: On Friday, we picked up the cargo by truck and transported it to Frankfurt Airport.
• Scanning and Transfer: On Monday, the cargo was sent to France for scanning using the Ras Cargo method. By the night from Monday to Tuesday, it was handed over to GHA Airlines.
• Scheduled Departure: The cargo was scheduled to depart on Wednesday, allowing us to avoid airline penalties for cancellation or rescheduling.

Result

Thanks to the efficient coordination of the M9 Germany team and our Frankfurt Airport partner, we successfully delivered the cargo in advance.
